Our business is energy. But more than that, it’s about the future of energy. That’s the challenge we’re taking on in the next few years. Join us, and it’s a challenge you’ll be taking on too.

We’re an integrated energy company. That means that we are active in a number of stages of the energy chain: generation, energy supply and trading. Our safe and secure operation of its eight existing nuclear power stations at sites across the country makes us the UK’s largest generator of low carbon electricity. In addition to nuclear, we have coal and gas generation – as well as wind farms and combined heat and power plants. Couple this with being the largest supplier of electricity based on volume in Great Britain and you can see that this gives us an exceptionally broad perspective on the energy market in the UK. And it leaves us uniquely poised to influence the UK’s energy strategy.

In other words, we’re well placed to lead the industry towards a low carbon future. And the graduates we take on now will play a vital role in shaping that future. It’s quite a challenge – but also a unique opportunity to prove your worth.

Our energy ambitions

As a country we face a significant energy challenge – keeping the lights on, maintaining affordable prices and tackling climate change.
