If you’ve got A-levels (or equivalent) and the drive to learn, why not combine work and study by joining our Technical Foundation Scheme?

About the Scheme

Join us at EDF Energy and you’ll have the opportunity to train for key roles alongside our industry experts. Our Technical Foundation Scheme gives you hands-on experience, the chance to study part-time and a promising future. We expect commitment from you, alongside the determination to become a Technical Specialist or Engineer.  In return we’ll support you while you’re learning and provide a whole host of benefits as well as excellent career opportunities.

You’ll have a choice between several technical business areas: Control & Instrumentation Engineering; Structural Integrity; Nuclear Technology; or Chemistry. We’ll talk to you before you start and help you decide which one would suit you best. Whatever your decision, you can be sure you’ll be involved in critical tasks and projects from day one.

About you

To make the grade, you’ll need at least three A-levels at grades A to C (or equivalent). Ideally these will be in Engineering, Science, Technology or Maths. We’ll also be looking for good IT skills, a gift for clear communication and an approach that blends teamwork, organisation and flexibility. Most importantly, you must be dedicated and enthusiastic: keen to learn and be part of a leading energy company.
