We support a number of campaigns to encourage recycling, energy efficiency and a sustainable lifestyle among the general public.

Exeter - Green Shopper

On 20 June 2007, Exeter’s regional newspaper the Express & Echo launched their Green Shoppers campaign, with the primary aim of cutting down the number of plastic bags used by shoppers in Exeter by 25% within a year. We joined Exeter City Council as their partners in funding and promoting the campaign.

The campaign won a great response from traders and the public, surpassing our expectations and has now been expanded to include schools.

The Express & Echo is also releasing four supplements in 2008 under the Green Shopper banner with a focus on green issues such as recycling, travel, and energy efficiency.
